Producer recieved a plan to regenerate Amtrak, a transcontinental railroad system of United States, from one viewer in Japan.
Amtrak does not seem to be useful, however, it is valuable as the other option than aircrafts or cars for transcontinental transportation.
Why Amtrak Need to Regenerate?
Amtrak has faced financial difficulties for long time.
When Amtrak goes under, you will lose the other option than aircrafts or cars for transcontinental transportation.
Many airlines also suffer business slump due to many reasons, including an aftereffect of "Sep. 11, 2001".
It is possible all transportation facilities except Amtrak should have paralyzed.

1. Regenerate "Transcontinental Superexpress Line".
First, rebuild a great trunk line between New York and Los Angels or San Francisco.
Amtrak adopts broad gauge, so it is possible that trains can run faster than shinaknsen, TGV, or any of standard gauge superexpress railroads.
2. Improve Facilities of Trains.
Of course, facilities of infrastructure, rails, stations and so on, should be improved, but ones of trains should be also.
The time required for transcontinental transportation is the most disadvantage for trains against aircrafts, so Amtrak should make facilities its advantages.
Serve about 20 trains in "Transcontinental Superexpress Line" a day.
The cars for "Transcontinental Superexpress Line" has compartments, berths, launge and buffet, and make the facility of the economy class coach equal to one of the business class of aircrafts,
3. Build Towns around Stations.
Build many stations between both terminals of "Transcontinental Superexpress Line", and also build new town around each station.
In Japan and Europe, a raildoad station is one of the most important bases of life and it makes the piece there keep.
Also, intercity trains should be served many times a day.
Amtrak Meets Potencial Demands for Foreigners.
